Be inspired by God's Word!

The Bible is a book full of prophecies, which makes it a prophetic book. There are more than 300 prophecies about the life of Jesus recorded in Scripture. In addition, the Holy Spirit can inspire you while reading God’s Word, making it prophetic once again.

Prophecy and “the prophetic” essentially mean being inspired by someone. My longing is to be inspired by the Holy Spirit when I read the Bible.

Steps to help you listen as you read God’s Word:

Choose the Bible translation that you find most enjoyable and accessible. 📚 Select a Bible story, book, or chapter and begin reading. Make sure you can take notes as you go.

Keep reading until you experience something from God—this could be peace, joy, righteousness, love… That’s the moment the text becomes prophetic and inspires you. It touches your heart.

Write down the words that move you, along with any thoughts or impressions you might have.

Continue reading Scripture this way, no matter your emotional state. Whether joyful, tired, sad, or angry learn to receive God's words in every season of life.

 Sometimes you'll feel God speaking after 30 minutes of reading. Other times, it might happen within 30 seconds. But if you believe He wants to speak to you every day, you’ll keep reading until He touches your heart.

Jesus lived in this way too out of the words He received from God. He didn’t react merely to need or problems, but acted according to what He heard His Father say.
