Trust in the Provider

In August 2022, Jordie proposed to me. A year later, the wedding and moving in together were planned. So, we needed a house but that wasn’t guaranteed given the housing market. We had two options: follow our own plan and decide for ourselves where we wanted to live, or surrender control to God and trust Him with the plan for our home. We chose the latter.

It was a real test especially as the months went by with no sign of a home. We prayed for a year. Time and time again, God reassured us: “It will be okay. I will provide.”

The closer we got to the wedding, the more intense it became. We trusted God, but moments of doubt crept in. People around us asked, “What if your God doesn’t provide?” That was tough, but we kept trusting. Through Bible verses, words, and visions, God continued to affirm that He would provide. Twelve weeks before the wedding, I received a scripture from God: “For your home, I would do anything.” We held firmly to His promises.
