His word for you!

Zijn woord voor jou!

My name is Jantien van Oers. I am 67 years old and a child of God. For many years, I’ve been painting and drawing, creating beautiful artworks.

God often speaks to me by giving me a dream or a vision sometimes unexpectedly, sometimes when I ask Him. It can happen during a worship service or sermon, in my own quiet time, or in the middle of the night. Often, a Bible verse also comes to mind. What God shows or tells me, I then express through a painting, drawing, or poem.

I would love to share two of these paintings with you. Perhaps God wants to speak to you through them too?

I was asked to create a painting for the Easter service, themed around the Cross. I began to reflect on it, and gradually this image formed one that touched me deeply and others as well.

The feet of this man are bound; he is carrying a heavy burden. Yet he walks toward the Cross, where he can lay down all his sins and burdens. And there, the arms of Jesus are waiting for him to catch him and embrace him. Yes, He is always waiting to welcome you with open arms! Come!

Zijn woord voor jou!

2 Corinthians 5:1,8 "For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens... We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."

This painting was inspired by a dream I received during the time my mother had cancer. I saw many tents, one of which was completely torn apart. Near it stood someone in the middle of the road with her arms raised high. I looked upward and saw the heavenly Jerusalem with the word ‘Home’ written on it.

When I woke up, I immediately thought of 2 Corinthians chapter 5, verses 1 and 8. That dream and scripture brought me peace a sense of acceptance.
